Abby’s Bio

Salvation Testimony

I was saved when I was five years old. I told my mom that I wanted to be saved, and we sat down on the kitchen floor and prayed together. When my dad got home that night, I told him that I had trusted Jesus as my Savior.

Call to Ministry

Teaching Children’s Church

When I began high school, I wanted to become an elementary school teacher, but I found the stories and testimonies of missionaries to be interesting and compelling. Studying French, I was moved by the spiritual needs of francophone countries. I struggled with what it meant to be “called” to missions as I started planning for college, and finally decided to pursue missions.

Preparation for Ministry

Cameroon, West Africa

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Missions (Greek minor) from Bob Jones University in 2012 and a Master of Arts in Bible Translation from Bob Jones University in 2014. While in school, I went to Africa (Zambia and Kenya) with a team of students for two months in 2010. The following summer, I interned under missionary Rosemary Craven for two months in Cameroon. After graduating with my Masters, I continued in school for one more year to take classes in biblical counseling, systematic theology, and Bible teaching methods. I married Micah Felber in the summer of 2015, and for the past two years have served alongside him at Northside Baptist Church (N. Charleston, SC). I have especially enjoyed serving in AWANA, children’s church, and one-on-one discipleship.

Burden for Ministry

Hospital Visitation with Micah

My burden is to glorify God through supporting my husband and his ministry goals. I am also excited for opportunities to teach God’s Word to ladies and to children.
